Once a month I take the studio evening into the heart of Copenhagen. The 25hours Hotel Indre By lounge becomes an open painting room for one night: a long table, a canvas at every seat, a glass of wine, music, and one new theme to paint together from the empty canvas to the last detail.

The evening

How a club night runs

Nothing to prepare and nothing to bring. You arrive after work, you sit down, and about two and a half hours later you leave with a finished painting under your arm.

Arrival & first glass

You walk into the 25hours lounge in Indre By, find your seat at the long table and get your first glass of wine while the easels are set up.

The theme of the month

Every club night has one new subject — flowers, a landscape, a portrait, a still life. You see the reference and I show how the painting is built.

Painting together

I move between the seats and guide you stroke by stroke: sketch, background, shapes, then the details that make it yours. Music on, no rush.

Canvases up

At the end everyone holds up their painting — the same theme, and never two paintings alike. You take yours home the same evening.
